While all projects are unique, we have a set of guidelines that assist in selecting them.
We prefer that you as a church:
- Be a constituted Baptist Church, not over 10 years old
- Not own a building
- Have land purchased and paid for
- Have preliminary drawings (send them with application)
- Have financing arranged, at least verbally
- Not be able to build unless a group such as our groups helps
- Have 100 or few members
We prefer that the project:
- Be single story building between 4000 and 10,000 sq. ft
- Have roof pitch 6/12 or less
- Have trusses not over 50 ft. long
- Not have sloped floors
- Have composition roofing. Metal roof is too dangerous
- Walls be 10′ or less
- Studs be wood, not metal
- Steeples/cupolas are pre-fabricated
- Slab floor or floor above the basement be already finished before project date
NOTES:
We provide our own transportation, lodging and meals. There is NO cost to the church.
We want the church to design the plans that will best suit their needs. We DO NOT come in after someone else has raised a metal building and finish it out.
We will need the Chairman of your Building Committee or someone to act as the Project Leader to work closely with Church Builders to have preparations ready for our arrival.
PROJECT CONSIDERATION:

After we receive your application, we will call and visit with you for more information.
At that point, we may ask you to send us a full set of plans if you have them. If you do not have a finished set, we will encourage you to get them drawn and stamped for approval.
Next, we continue to visit with you over phone or by e-mail. If we are feeling strongly that this could possibly be where God is leading us to, we will schedule an on-site visit by our leadership team.
We would at that time meet with a building committee along with Pastor and other leadership. We visit hotels, RV parks to get information for our group. We look at any school or other church kitchen that we might be able to rent for that week. We pray and ask God to show us whether or not if this is where we will go. Most of the time, while we are there, God allows us to tell the church what the decision is. Sometimes, we have to call back with our answer.
It is all done in God’s timing and with His guidance. Sometimes your project does not “fit” our main group for our summer project, but will work for a side project in the fall or spring. And then sometimes, God leads us to just help direct you to others who can help you. We want to help everyone who applies, but God has not asked us to do that, He is working in us as we follow His leadership in the project He provides for us.
